Food Day is a great opportunity for health advocates of all stripes to come together to support healthy and sustainable food choices. By taking a day to encourage schools, businesses, families and individuals to makeover their dinner plates we can begin to reshape our country’s food and farm policies.
A Well-Fed World is teaming up with FARM (Farm Animal Rights Movement) this Sunday, October 23rd in Dupont Circle for our Food Day Event, “Ideal Food and Farming.” This public education event will include speakers, videos, and thought provoking images depicting the egregious nature of standard farming practices and highlight many of the myths associated with “humane” labels on meat and other animal products.
We hope you will celebrate Food Day in your own way. Take this opportunity to encourage critical thinking about food choices.
What we eat has a tremendous impact on a variety of social issues such as health, world hunger, and climate change. The move toward a plant-based diet is the best contribution you can make to help build a kinder, well-fed world for all.
